The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andriy Sybiha, and U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken have signed a memorandum of cooperation in the energy sector.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs via Telegram.
The document outlines the possibility of American assistance totaling 825 million U.S. dollars.
It is noted that this memorandum establishes a legal framework for enhancing the resilience of Ukraine's energy system, particularly for restoring its critical infrastructure.
Additionally, it addresses support for the post-war transition "to a low-carbon, competitive, and Europe-integrated economy."
Recall that it was recently reported that Germany will additionally allocate tens of millions of euros for the restoration of Ukraine's energy system.
It was also reported that the EU will provide Ukraine with an additional 160 million euros to support energy security ahead of the upcoming winter amid the war.
