Советник Трампа Майк Уолтц изучает предложения по завершению войны в Украине, включая планы, предусматривающие переговоры с россией и помощь Киеву.

Mike Waltz, the national security advisor to elected U.S. President Donald Trump, is considering several options for ending the war between Russia and Ukraine. Among these are proposals from General Keith Kellogg, whom Trump has nominated as special representative for issues related to the war in Ukraine.

This information was reported by CNN.

Trump has already begun shaping his policy towards Ukraine and Israel – mediaThe elected U.S. President Donald Trump has started to formulate his foreign policy regarding two key areas – Ukraine and Israel.

It has been reported that the Trump administration is aiming for a swift ceasefire. This move would temporarily freeze the conflict and create conditions for negotiations between the parties. Additionally, it is expected that European allies and NATO will be called upon to increase their financial contributions to support Ukraine.

“We need to end this conflict responsibly. Our task is to restore deterrence, bring peace, and avoid further escalation,” Waltz stated in an interview with Fox News.

One of the proposed scenarios is a plan by Keith Kellogg, which includes conditional military aid to Ukraine on the premise of its participation in peace negotiations with Russia. According to this plan, Ukraine's NATO membership will be postponed indefinitely to encourage Moscow to engage in dialogue.

Another proposal, supported by former U.S. Ambassador to Germany Ric Grenell, involves the creation of “autonomous regions” in Ukraine, although details of this idea are still lacking. The possibility of Russia maintaining control over occupied territories in exchange for Ukraine's NATO membership is also being discussed, but this scenario has limited support among Trump's allies.

As is well known, Trump repeatedly claimed during his campaign that the war between Russia and Ukraine would not have started if he were still president. He also asserted that he could resolve the conflict within a day after his inauguration.

Waltz's deputy, Sebastian Gorka, has taken a tough stance on Russia, labeling Vladimir Putin as a “butcher.” He emphasized that Trump is prepared to increase military aid to Ukraine to compel Moscow to come to the negotiating table.

“This will be an ultimatum to Putin: either you start negotiations, or the assistance we provided to Ukraine will seem trivial compared to what will come next,” Gorka stated in an interview.

Despite various discussions, CNN sources point out that Trump's final strategy for ending the war has not yet been determined. Trump is known for his fluctuating positions, especially on foreign policy, so his approach to the conflict is likely to remain unstable.

Recall that on November 27, elected U.S. President Donald Trump appointed retired General Keith Kellogg as his special representative for issues related to Russia's war against Ukraine.

Recently, the Kremlin stated that they see “positive signals” in the position of elected U.S. President Donald Trump regarding Russia's war against Ukraine. At the same time, Ukrainians are skeptical about Trump's promises to end the war and believe that the fate of their country remains in their own hands.
