One thousand hryvnias for all Ukrainians: how to receive it and what it can be spent onThe Ministry of Economy explained how to obtain one thousand hryvnias under the Winter e-Support program, what it can be spent on, and who can receive the money at Ukrposhta.

He emphasized that over two million Ukrainians, who receive pensions and benefits through “Ukrposhta,” will be eligible for this one thousand hryvnias aid. This includes pensioners over 60 years old and individuals with disabilities of the first and second groups.

“If you do not receive payments through ‘Ukrposhta,’ you will need to contact a bank or apply for assistance via ‘Diia’,” Smiliansky wrote.

To process the payment, there is no need to visit a branch or fill out any forms: “All you need to do is wait for your mail carrier's visit or your pension payment day at the branch, and we will assist you in receiving this aid. You are already in our lists provided by the Ministry of Social Policy and the Ministry of Economy. Your payment will be waiting for you, even until the end of February 2025, in case you happen to fall ill and cannot collect it right now.”

Funds from the program will not be provided in cash. However, at the “Ukrposhta” branch, they can be spent on paying utility bills, topping up mobile accounts, purchasing groceries and household chemicals, subscribing to domestic publications, and ordering medicines produced in Ukraine.

“If you have already decided what you plan to spend this 1,000 hryvnias on, inform your mail carrier or operator at the branch, and they will assist you in ordering the desired product if it happens to be out of stock,” Smiliansky added.

Additionally, in the stationary branches of “Ukrposhta,” this support can be used for donations to the Armed Forces of Ukraine or for the joint charitable fund with the Kyiv School of Economics, which helps the army, schools, hospitals, and animal shelters.

We remind you that from December 1, Ukrainians can submit applications in the “Diia” app for the one thousand hryvnias payment under the “Winter e-Support” program.

The program is only available to citizens located in Ukraine. Ukrainians abroad who unexpectedly received assistance will have to return it.

The Ministry of Digital Transformation stated that the winter “e-Support” has become the most widespread online service in the world within a day.
