The United States has allocated a new package of military assistance for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which includes weapons and equipment totaling $425 million.
This information is detailed in a statement published on the Pentagon's website.
The package includes weapons "to address Ukraine's most pressing needs," such as air defense systems, munitions for missile systems and artillery, armored vehicles, and anti-tank weapons.
Specifically, Ukraine will receive:
- projectiles for NASAMS and HIMARS;
- Stinger missiles;
- equipment and munitions for counter-drone operations;
- TOW missiles and air-to-ground missiles;
- 155-mm and 105-mm artillery shells;
- Javelin and AT-4 anti-tank systems;
- Stryker armored personnel carriers;
- firearms and ammunition;
- medical equipment;
- demolition equipment, munitions, and spare parts.
"The United States will continue to work alongside approximately 50 allies and partners within the Ukraine Defense Contact Group and related coalitions to address Ukraine's urgent combat and defense needs against Russian aggression," the statement noted.
It should be noted that it was recently announced that the U.S. will provide $800 million for the production of Ukrainian drones.
On October 21, it was reported that the United States allocated a military assistance package of $400 million to Ukraine.
