IMI explained the criteria used to compile the White List. Initially, experts examined 50 popular Ukrainian media for manipulations, fakes, and black PR.

In the second stage of the research, the media were analyzed based on the following criteria: standards of balance, reliability, and separation of facts from comments, the presence of native advertising, sexism, and hate speech, harmful content, as well as transparency—availability of contact information, editorial policies, and transparency of media ownership on their websites.

“According to the analysis results, the level of compliance with professional standards on the resources included in the White List averages around 96%. No native advertising, hate speech, sexism, or fakes were found in the central news feeds on these sites,” the statement said.

As a reminder, the Institute of Mass Information previously conducted an analysis of professional standards among leading online media in September 2024. The portal "Slovo i Dilo" was among the leaders in the media.

Additionally, "Slovo i Dilo" was included in the list of transparent, responsible, and quality Ukrainian online media according to IMI for the first half of 2024.

In 2023, the "Slovo i Dilo" website also ranked among the leaders in compliance with professional standards. In 2020, "Slovo i Dilo" was included in the list of popular media without native advertising.
