NABU and SAP have completed the investigation into the case concerning former Minister of Agrarian Policy Mykola Solskyi, who is suspected of orchestrating a scheme to illegally acquire state lands in Sumy Oblast, totaling approximately 2,500 hectares, and attempting to seize an additional 3,300 hectares.
This was reported by the press services of the agencies, without disclosing the name of the individual involved.
According to "Slovo i Delo," this pertains to Solskyi.
“The SAP prosecutor has decided to conclude the pre-trial investigation concerning a criminal group led by the former chairman of the Agrarian Committee of the Verkhovna Rada - the former minister - which included high-ranking officials from the State Geocadastre and others who controlled the activities of these agencies. Currently, at the request of the SAP prosecutor, NABU detectives have provided the defense with the case materials,” the agencies reported.
As is known, the anti-corruption court has detained Minister of Agrarian Policy Mykola Solskyi until June 24. An alternative was set at 75.7 million UAH bail. This amount was paid, and he was released from custody.
Recall that NABU and SAP notified Minister of Agrarian Policy Mykola Solskyi, his deputy, and other individuals of suspicion. According to the investigation, the participants in the scheme facilitated the destruction of documents based on which two state enterprises in Sumy Oblast had the right to permanent land use. Due to their absence, the regional State Geocadastre prepared a report on the unauthorized occupation of these plots.
Subsequently, with the assistance of controlled officials from the regional State Geocadastre, the lands were transferred into the ownership of pre-selected individuals under the guise of exercising their right to free land. The condition for receiving the land ownership was the signing of a lease agreement with a private agroholding even before the land was obtained.
As a result of the transaction executed between 2017-2021, the participants of the scheme acquired 1,250 land plots with a total area of 2,493 hectares, valued at over 291 million UAH at the time of the crime. They also attempted to seize 3,282 hectares of land worth approximately 190 million UAH, but were thwarted by NABU detectives and SAP prosecutors, who conducted searches and imposed a freeze on the plots.
