The authorities of Canada will provide additional funds to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities.
This was reported by the press service of the country's government.
It is known that Canada will allocate 400 million Canadian dollars (approximately 305 million USD) for ammunition and drones for the Ukrainian military.
200 million dollars (139 million USD) will be directed towards the purchase of shells for the Armed Forces of Ukraine as part of the Czech initiative.
An additional 100 million dollars (69.5 million USD) will be provided to Ukraine for drone production, and 50 million dollars (35 million USD) will be allocated for the purchase of ammunition of various calibers from Canadian industry.
Moreover, Canada will procure winter gear for the Ukrainian military, including sleeping bags, winter boots, and thermal underwear, as well as high-resolution cameras for drones.
Additionally, it is worth noting that today the 25th meeting of "Ramstein" took place in Germany. President Volodymyr Zelensky, who attended the meeting in person, thanked all partners for their assistance to Ukraine.
At "Ramstein," the USA allocated another package of military aid to Ukraine amounting to 500 million dollars, while Germany promised to provide missiles for the IRIS-T systems.
