The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Radek Sikorski, stated that his country has contributed more to Ukraine relative to its GDP than any other nation.
This was his response to President Volodymyr Zelensky's comments that Poland is not transferring its MiG-29s to Ukraine and is not intercepting Russian missiles, as reported by Polsat News.
"Among the countries assisting Ukraine, when considering military, financial, economic, humanitarian aid, and support for Ukrainian refugees, Poland has done more for Ukraine than any other country," Sikorski stated.
He also noted that "almost 300 of our tanks, a lot of heavy equipment, including aircraft, are located just across the eastern border."
"We are trying to help, but we are also a frontline country. Russia poses a threat to us as well, and not everything is possible," he added.
Recall that the day before, Zelensky stated that Poland has not delivered fighter jets to Ukraine, despite agreements with NATO.
For other news regarding cooperation with Poland: the Foreign Ministry stated that they want to review the secret additions to Ukraine's "victory plan".
