The former commander of the Joint Forces, General Yuriy Sodol, has resigned from the Armed Forces through the military medical commission.
This was announced by Member of Parliament Mariyana Bezuhla.
“General Sodol has resigned from the Armed Forces of Ukraine via the VVK,” she claims.
Recall that in June, Azov soldier Bohdan Krotevych filed a complaint with the State Bureau of Investigation, urging an investigation into Sodol. He accused the general of exceeding his official powers and incompetent command of the troops, which resulted in significant losses. Later, the American publication Washington Post revealed details of Krotevych's complaint.
On June 24, President Volodymyr Zelensky sacked Sodol from the position of commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
At the end of June, it became known from the media that the State Bureau of Investigation would check Sodol's actions during his command of the defense in the Kharkiv direction.
