On Monday, October 28, the founder of KADORR Group and the largest Arab investor in Ukraine, Adnan Kivan, passed away. He would have turned 62 this December.
This was reported by KADORR Group. It is noted that he was listed among the 100 richest Ukrainians and was among the top five largest landlords.
"Today, October 28, 2024, the founder of KADORR Group, Adnan Kivan, the largest Arab investor in Ukraine, known for his successful business projects, social initiatives, as well as philanthropy and patronage, has passed away," the statement reads.
As reported by the publication "Dumska," citing its sources, the businessman had cancer. He is survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren.
He was born in Syria on December 1, 1962. After completing his secondary education, he moved to Odessa to study at the Academy of Food Technologies.
By 2005, he established the company "Diana-Plus," which was involved in the development of construction projects. In 2006, he founded "Interinveststroy," engaged in construction, and in 2010, he launched KADORR Group, focusing on residential real estate. Additionally, in 2017, he created "Kador Grain of Ukraine," which deals with wholesale grain trading, unprocessed tobacco, and seeds, and is capable of growing grain and industrial crops.
In 2021, according to Forbes, his net worth was estimated at $240 million. The Kivan family owns more than 40 residential complexes in Odessa and Kyiv. He was also the owner of the company "Zerno Agro."
Previously, "Telegraf" reported that a famous Ukrainian poet passed away in Odessa after returning from Moscow following the Russian invasion.
